Executive Branch Directors

Executive Director, Roger & Leona Fitzsimonds Branch Eric Ashley
Executive Director, Roger & Leona Fitzsimonds Branch

Eric Ashley was born in Denver, Colo., where he graduated from George Washington High School as a student athlete. He attended New Mexico Highlands University and received a bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in secondary and health education.

Eric spent eight years working with Denver youth from various socio-economic backgrounds in the field of recreation. He spent his last years in Denver as a recreation coordinator with the city's department of parks and recreation. Several programs that he started for Denver's youth are still part of the city's programming today.

In his more than ten years with the Milwaukee Boys & Girls Clubs, Eric spent eight years as physical education director and program director with the LaVarnway Branch (2739 N. 15th St.). He currently serves as executive branch director of the Fitzsimonds Branch (3400 W. North Ave.), the first Boys & Girls Club/school district/municipal collaboration of its kind in the nation.

Eric is married and has two daughters.


SeherLaNelle Ramey
Executive Director, Daniels-Mardak Branch

LaNelle Ramey has been committed to developing and encouraging youth to reach their full potential since 1996.

In 2004, he joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee as the executive director of the Daniels-Mardak Boys & Girls Club located at 4834 N. Mother Daniels Way. The Club is the first of its kind to partner with a faith-based institution, Holy Redeemer Academy, and a public school, 35th Street Elementary.

LaNelle comes to the Boys & Girls Clubs with vast experience in youth development and programming. His professional background includes serving as the Teen/Gear-Up director for the John C. Cudahy YMCA, Programs Supervisor for New Concept Self Development Center and several years with MPS. LaNelle received both his bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice/pre-law and his master of arts degree in public administration from Marquette University.

In addition to serving as chair of the Land of Lakes Chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs Professionals Association, LaNelle volunteers for a number of faith-based, community service capacities. He resides in Milwaukee with his wife and four children.


Carla Jackson
Executive Director, Mary Ryan Branch

Carla Jackson is a caring motivator of youths and teens at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club. In 2005, she was named executive director of the branch located at 3000 N. Sherman Blvd. Carla has well over a decade of experience developing youth programs and motivating staff for the Boys & Girls Clubs. She resides in Milwaukee.


SeherJoe Trevino
Executive Branch Director, Don & Sallie Davis Branch

Joe Trevino has dedicated 19 years of his professional career to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. He joined the organization in 1984, working at the Sherman Park Program Center (now the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club, 3000 N. Sherman Blvd.) as social recreation and athletic director.

He moved to the Irving J. Seher Boys & Girls Clubs (now known Don & Sallie Davis Branch, 2404 W. Rogers St.) in 1985, where he assumed the position of group work director. Five years later Joe became the Seher Club's (now known Don & Sallie Davis Branch) executive director. As such, he is responsible for guiding the operations and development of the agency's only full-service Club serving Milwaukee's south side.

Joe is a national board member representing the Midwest region of the Association of Boys & Girls Clubs Professionals and currently sits on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Gang Prevention and Intervention Board. In addition, he is a part of the Milwaukee Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and sits on the board of the Modjeske Theatre.

Joe is married to Beverly and has two sons, Joey and Drew. He holds a bachelor's degree in parks and recreation administration.



Program Director/Interim Executive Branch Director, Augusta M. LaVarnway Club Gerald McGregory

Augusta M. LaVarnway Club

Gerald McGregory has been a Boys & Girls Club professional since 1997. He began his youth development career as a physical education director at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club (3000 N. Sherman Blvd.).

Gerald is the executive branch director at the Augusta M. LaVarnway Boys & Girls Club (2739 N. 15th St.). As such, he is responsible for guiding the operations and development of the Clubs' oldest full-service urban branch.

He has been an active member of the Association of Boys & Girls Clubs Professionals for three years.

Gerald has a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. A devout basketball fan, he has spent six years mentoring and coaching up-and-coming high school basketball players from the Milwaukee area. Gerald lives with his family in Milwaukee.


Executive Director, Camp Whitcomb/Mason Mark Thomas
Executive Director, Camp Whitcomb/Mason

Mark Thomas, a Wisconsin native, comes to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee with a wealth of solid managerial and leadership skills to the position of executive director of Camp Whitcomb/Mason.

As executive director, Mark brings a high degree of experience in fundraising, marketing, business operations and budget management. After serving a variety of leadership roles during his 28 years with Journal Sentinel, Inc., Mark became the chief operating officer of Family House, a central-city residential facility serving individuals 55 and older and people with disabilities.

At Camp Whitcomb/Mason, located on Lake Keesus in Hartland, Mark manages more than 300 acres of outdoor education programs available to Club members, local and regional schools and professional organizations.
