Boys & Girls Clubs members have great opportunities to express themselves and find healing power in The Arts. Arts programming at the Clubs spans many genres, including music, painting and dance! Here are a few examples of how, with help from our community partners, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee is providing opportunities for our young artists:

Together with our community partners Hal Leonard, Milwaukee Public Schools and First Stage, Club members embraced their love of theater in The Lion King, Jr. earlier this year at the Golda Meir Rosa Parks Auditorium:

Members of our Can You Hear Us Now? program unite with one goal: Spread messages of peace through the arts. Club members stand together against violence in our community in a 2014 documentary film and live performances, such as this one held at the Milwaukee Art Museum:

Members of the Fitzsimonds Boys & Girls Club learn to film, edit and produce movies using professional equipment and software. Watch Part 1 of Fitz Films’ “The Evil Gift Giver” below:

The Don & Sallie Davis Boys & Girls Club is home to our Dance Fuzion team, who learn dance techniques of various genres and rehearse for live performances at events such as the MVP Salute to Youth Dinner:

Club members have numerous opportunities to get hands-on in our art studios with access to supplies for painting, pottery and more! Our young artists are encouraged to submit their masterpieces to our annual Fine Arts Show, some of which can be seen in the slideshow below:
