Marquette basketball players kick off school year with Club kids

As many of our Club members enter their second month of the fall school semester, we reflect on the amazing community partners that help our youth prepare for the academic year. That includes the Marquette Men’s Basketball team, who visited our Mary Ryan Club members last month to celebrate the impending school year.

In partnership with Aurora Health Care, Meijer and McDonald’s, Marquette players and coaches delivered bags full of helpful school supplies as well as Marquette basketball t-shirts to dozens of youth. The players enjoyed a morning full of games with our Club members, including basketball and bean bag toss. “For our community, the Milwaukee community, our best resource are our kids, and our program tries to be a big part of our community,” Marquette Coach Steve Wojciechowski told FOX 6 News. “We wanted to reach out to the kids here at Sherman Park and help them get off to a great start as the school year begins.”

Thank you Marquette for the fun morning and providing a great start to the school year for our Mary Ryan Club members!
