Harley-Davidson donation encourages Club kids to ride on two wheels

Harley-Davidson employees participating in a leadership program recently took part in a group effort to build 23 bicycles for Boys & Girls Clubs members. Fratney Street Boys & Girls Club member Taylor and her mother met the Harley employees and accepted their generous donation on behalf of Boys & Girls Clubs. The new Raleigh brand bikes are being distributed to Club members like Taylor that demonstrate high character and are in need of a new bike.

The bikes were presented to Taylor with an inspirational message highlighting Harley’s commitment to giving back to kids in Milwaukee and encouraging people of all ages to enjoy the freedom and healthy benefits of riding on two wheels. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee shares that vision through our BGC Bike program, in which teenagers build and restore bicycles for friends in the neighborhood and have the opportunity to earn internships and paid positions at both Bublr and DreamBikes in Milwaukee.

We are grateful to have community partners like Harley-Davidson that find creative and unique ways to involve their employees in making an impact in the lives of our Club members. Ride on, Club kids!
